What is a Smash Burger
Here at Smash Daddy's, we start with a ball of deliciously seasoned ground beef, we then place that beef on a ripping-hot griddle and smash it down using a burger press. Smashing the burger results in an amazing sear on the outside of the meat, but locks in all of that juicy flavor. We like to keep it simple. We add a couple slices of cheese, and those mouth-watering grilled onions, and there you have it, a smash burger that will leave you craving for more after each bite.
Meet the Owners
Tyler and Rachel have been together since 2012. Tyler has a passion for cooking tasty foods and Rachel has a passion for trying all of it! Together, they make the perfect couple for a food adventure. They have always dreamed of pursuing Tyler's passion in cooking, and soon, they will be able to share it with everyone.
Why the name?
We were all at the dinner table one night, and we were trying to come up with catchy names for the food trailer. We knew we wanted to make Smash Burgers, so we were trying to do a "play on words". Rachel and I were exchanging ideas back and forth, when our three year old son, Jack, blurted out "Smash Daddy!" Everyone laughed, and that's how the name Smash Daddy's was born!
Our Journey
Something about 2023 gave us the feeling that it was finally time to take the leap and purchase a food trailer. We found, and purchased, the trailer in September of that year and began renovations the minute it was parked in the driveway. The process was long and tedious, but it was so worth it knowing the end result was going to be incredible burgers in front of our customers. It took us almost a year and a half to build out the trailer and get everything permitted. We have taken so much pride in this food trailer, and we are very excited to finally share it with everyone.
